Director of Marketing

Your Role

The Director of Marketing leads a functional department of online marketing experts, providing technical expertise and assigning resources, as needed, to various projects across multiple clients. In this role, you will collaborate with Business Unit Directors as well as other departmental Directors (e.g. IT, Content, etc.) to maximize our clients’ revenue via traffic generation, conversion and sales.

Team Fit

The Director of Marketing will lead at least 10 team members, consisting of SEO specialists, media buyers, affiliate marketers, email marketing specialists and PPC marketers.

In this role, you will report directly to the General Manager of DOM.

Responsibilities

  • Set strategy, goal and vision for multiple online portals in various segments, including online gaming, finance, laptops and contact lenses
  • Work with Business Unit Directors to develop and execute specific marketing plans for client websites
  • Measure and analyze campaign results
  • Approve all creative design used for marketing
  • Act as the market specialist for one, or a combination of the following countries: Italy, France, Spain and Germany
  • Conduct ongoing market analysis and segmentation
  • Work closely with Site Managers and SEO teams to optimize traffic to sites
  • Work closely with our in-house conversion team to optimize conversion to sites
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Full staff and Marketing Department responsibility, including:
    • Hiring
    • Department organization
    • Setting salaries/bonuses
    • Employee performance and development
    • Approving vacations

Professional Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years in a strategic marketing management role with staff responsibility
  • Minimum 6 years marketing experience, including 4 years of online marketing
  • General understanding of online marketing, including media buys, SEO, affiliate marketing, PPC and web analytics

Formal Requirements

  • University degree (preferably in marketing)
